I’m Angie, the Humanities Specialist at College Torch. I’ll be hosting the Stuck at Home Book Club, revamping our social media, writing blogs (like this one!), etc.

A little bit about me:
I am a rising senior at the University of Pennsylvania studying PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics). On campus, I have been involved with student journalism, social sciences research, and more.
I studied abroad in South Korea last fall — it was an insane semester, and I can’t wait to go back. Do I search up “flights to Seoul” every now and then? Maybe. Anyhow, I moved back home to Minnesota this past weekend and plan to spend the summer taking classes and practicing foreign languages.
My road to college was relatively smooth — I was accepted to Penn via Early Decision. I’m so grateful to attend a school with so many brilliant, driven, and curious students, and I love the city campus! Feel free to ask me about Penn, the ED process, college life, or literally anything you’d want a second opinion on. I am also open to hearing your movie recs.
My next Book Club session will be held this Sunday, June 14th at 12pm PDT for middle schoolers and 1pm PDT for high schoolers. Middle schoolers are reading Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, and high schoolers are reading Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner. Follow us @collegetorch on Instagram to keep updated!
Excited to meet y’all!
